Several events can cause erectile dysfunction; primarily pelvic cancers and especially radical prostatectomies, as the procedure damages the neurovascular bundles attached to the prostate, poorly controlled or long-standing diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cholesterol disorders, neurological conditions due to spinal cord lesions, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, testosterone deficiency, psychotropic drugs, chemotherapy, perineal and pelvic trauma, active smoking, or simply age with declining libido... All these multiple and intertwined risk factors have detrimental effects on the quality of an erection.
You wish to use a vacuum erection device recognized as effectivea1, b1,2,3,4,5 or you cannot tolerate intracavernosal injections of prostaglandin E1 or the use of phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE5i) to promote the return of your erections.
Your penis has lost length and volume c1,2,3,4,5.
For active and easy rehabilitation of your erectile function
In the absence of an erection, fibrosis sets into the cavernous and spongy tissue sponge of the penis, causing a loss of flexibility in the erectile bodies and penile retraction.
The ErecAid™ works on a simple mechanical principle:
- By operating the pump, a vacuum is created in the cylinder, which, relieved of atmospheric pressure, allows the smooth muscle fibers of the penis to relax.
- Arterial blood fills the sinusoidal space of the cavernous and spongy bodies, and their swelling partially compresses venous return.
- The rigidity of the erection depends on the richness of the oxygen supply via arterial blood as well as the effectiveness of the venous occlusion achieved by the constriction rings.
For maximum stretching and elongation of the penis, achieving a near-absolute vacuum is fundamental, and this is the major advantage of the ErecAid™ pump.
Restoring the elasticity of the erectile bodies must be part of a daily exercise regimen; once for 15 minutes or twice for 5 to 10 minutes for at least 3 months.
Unlike intracavernosal injections, the ErecAid™ is easy to use for erectile function rehabilitation. Using the ErecAid™ also allows for the control of potential pain during penile erection by releasing the vacuum.
1. The ErecAid™ offers a non-invasive alternative, drug-free and injection-free, which is particularly attractive for patients who are hesitant about injections or have comorbidities.
2. The ErecAid™ is part of a penile rehabilitation strategy, particularly after prostate surgery, by helping to maintain the vascularization and integrity of the erectile tissues.
Contraindications
Hemophilia or the use of anticoagulants are not contraindications, but due to the possibility of bruising, they require your doctor's approval.
Hemorrhagic disorders, specifically venous leaks or stenoses/occlusions of the pudendal, iliac, or cavernous arteries, require treatment prior to using the ErecAid™.

Clinical studies
According to data from clinical literature and professional guidelines, vacuum erection devices are currently considered a second-line treatment for Erectile Dysfunction, on par with intracavernosal injections. The latter may, in certain clinical situations, be considered a first-line alternative.
In accordance with professional guidelines (notably those of the French Association of Urology and the European Association of Urology), PDE5 inhibitors constitute the first-line treatment for Erectile Dysfunction.
In cases of insufficient efficacy, contraindication, or intolerance to these treatments, several alternatives may be proposed, notably including intracavernosal injections and vacuum devices, such as the
